Celebrating Dads, Grads and Sunday School Closing for the School Year

At New Maryland United we have a special celebration on Father's Day, honouring dads, grads and the Sunday School closing for the school year.  We top it off with ice-cream sundaes being served after the service.

Sunday School Closing and the Honouring of Grads and Dads (2016):
New Maryland United Church was once again a scene of celebration on June 19th as we honoured the graduates and dads in our congregation and enjoyed a fun time with the Sunday School children as they wound down activities for the school year.  With Father's Day recognized on this day, the children at NMUC distributed chocolate bars to the men in the congregation in a show of appreciation for all the ways they contribute in our lives.  We also recognized graduations for those in our extended church family.  In particular we wish Brodie Power all the best as he graduates from Fredericton High School and pursues his career as a diesel mechanic.  We also wish Carolyn Hatt sincere congratulations as she collects another degree, Master of Education.  We are so proud of you both!  And to top it off, the highlight of this celebration was the party ....  just ask Abby Tupling ... hotdogs and make-your-own ice-cream sundaes awaited those who made their way downstairs after the service.  Sunday School winds down for the summer and there is excitement in the air as the children head off to the sunny days of summer.  See slide show of pictures below from the 2016 Dads and Grads service.
